PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM THERAPY

Sound Familiar?

  • 50-80% of pregnant women will experience back pain
  • 10-30% of women undergoing vaginal delivery have levator ani avulsion
  • 49% of women will develop stress urinary incontinence (SUI) within 5 years after their first vaginal delivery
  • 76.4% of women who report SUI 3 months postpartum still suffer at 12 years postpartum
  • 64.3% of women report sexual dysfunction in the first year following childbirth
  • 77% of postpartum women have low back pain that interfered with daily tasks

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's normal. Pregnancy should be a joyful time, not a season riddled with pain and dysfunction. It is a misconception that pain is a "typical" part of pregnancy and that you have to wait until after delivery for relief.

POSTNATAL CARE

So you've had a baby, and you're supposed to just "get back to normal", right? Wrong. You have regular appointments to monitor your baby's health, why not for yourself? We believe that postnatal physical or occupational therapy should be a standard practice for women, and we want to help give you the tools to feel your best, because moms matter, too.

client testimonial

"The staff is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. My personal therapist, Kelsey Moix, is outstanding. She is very diligent in trying to make sure that I am getting better. Mrs. Moix has taught me about muscles that I didn’t know existed. I am grateful to have her for my therapist."
